Join artist Madison Laidlaw for a fun-filled event at Common Craft Studio. Printmaking is for more than just paper. Learn how to up your clay game with this stamped ornament workshop.
In this class you will learn how to design and carve a rubber stamp that we will press into air dry clay to make a wall charm. Your ticket includes carving/printing supplies, 2.5 hours instruction and enough clay for 2 ornaments. You will leave this workshop with your clay charms, your carved stamp and the knowledge to keep on printing.
No art or craft experience required. Just come with an idea and your crafty enthusiasm.

Carving Demo
Class will start with an artist demonstration of the drawing, transferring, and carving steps of the process.
12:45 PM - 02:30 PM
Studio time
This time is dedicated for participants to work on their projects at there own pace. This allows for 1-on-1 assistance and freedom to create in your own time.
02:30 PM - 02:45 PM
Print Demo
Class will come back together when most students are ready to test their carved block. This demonstration covers inking and printing your block.
02:45 PM - 03:30 PM
Printing
Time for the fun part, printing your project.
Tickets $35 or 2 for $60
Common Craft in Hazel Park, MI
Sunday, December 13th. From 12:30pm—3:30pm
$35 per person, or 2 for $60. no experience necessary.
No refunds or credits.
Free street parking is available. Please do not park in the neighboring parking lot. Vehicles parked there may be ticketed or towed.
