No reservation needed—just walk in during open hours. We keep things flexible so you can drop in when it works for you.
You’re always welcome to call ahead to check availability. If the studio is at capacity when you arrive, we can take your number and text you as soon as a spot opens.
-
Membership is optional. We offer single visits and memberships so people can choose what works best for them.
-
Not at all. This space is designed for all experience levels, including beginners and people who don’t consider themselves “creative.” Curiosity and willingness to explore are more than enough.
-
That’s very common. Many guests arrive without a plan. The studio is intentionally set up with plenty of inspiration around the space, from sample projects to curated material kits and prompts. We’re always happy to offer suggestions or simple starting points to help you get going.
-
Both. Some people come alone for quiet, focused time, while others visit with friends. The studio is designed to comfortably support either experience.
If you’re planning to come with more than 6 people, we recommend reaching out ahead of time so we can make sure we have the space for you.
-
Common Craft is designed to give adults a calm, relaxed environment to create, and the materials are not geared toward children. You must be 16+ to use the Common Craft studio.
-
That’s completely welcome. You don’t need a finished goal or a specific outcome. Open studio time is meant to support relaxed, low pressure making, however that looks for you.
-
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own materials or work on personal projects. We just ask that projects don’t require power tools or specialized equipment.
-
Visits are self paced, with most guests staying around 2-3 hours. While there’s no strict time limit, visits are intended to stay within that range so everyone can enjoy the space.
-
We provide a selection of shared materials, including paint, drawing supplies, mixed media, and air dry clay.
Materials are designed to support a wide range of small to medium projects, so everyone has access to what they need.
Specialty materials and larger-scale projects are available as add-ons or through workshops.
-
Storage is reserved for members.
If you’re visiting for the day, plan to take your project with you when you leave.
Tier 1 members: You may store projects as long as your membership remains active. If your membership lapses or is canceled, you have 14 days to pick it up. After that, they may be donated or discarded. If a project hasn’t been touched for 30 days, Common Craft reserves the right to consolidate or remove it to make room for other members. This keeps the shared storage from becoming permanent storage.
Workshop attendees (non-members): Projects need to be picked up within 7 days of the workshop, or they may be discarded or donated.
-
We aim to create a welcoming and accessible environment. If you have specific access needs or questions, feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
