About Common Craft

I’m Tori, the artist and muralist behind Common Craft.

I created Common Craft because I wanted a place to make things without pressure.

Over the years, I noticed that most creative spaces fall into one of two categories: structured classes or social clubs that meet at specific times. Both have their place, but neither really made room for the in-between moments when you want to create without committing to a class or needing a plan.

That’s what led to Common Craft.

It’s a shared creative studio for adults who want space to explore, make things with their hands, and spend time creating without needing experience or a finished idea.

Some people come in with a project they’ve been thinking about for weeks. Others show up to experiment and let the process unfold naturally.

The studio is designed to feel calm, welcoming, and easy to settle into, with shared tools, materials, inspiration, and guidance available if you’d like.

At its core, Common Craft is about making creativity feel less performative and more human. It’s a place for curiosity, process, and connection through the act of making.

I’ve spent years creating for a living, and somewhere along the way I realized how important it is to protect the kind of creativity that exists before there’s an end goal.

The kind where you’re experimenting, learning, making a mess, and following curiosity just because.

Common Craft is a piece of that feeling. The reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be something impressive to be worth your time.

I built this space for anyone looking for a reason to make again.
