It seems like the end of the year is exclusively reserved for the holidays nowadays.
What if we did something that was just for us that didn’t have to be all holly and jolly? Call this a solstice shindig because you are invited to join us in a long night of making.
String beads, wire wrap charms, and assemble a unique chain to hold your glasses or air pods and accessorize in a functional and sustainable way. Detroit Loch City is bringing lovingly decluttered and donated one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, charms, and beads all saved from winding up in the landfill. All the better for you to incorporate into your creation.
You’re also welcome to bring in your own pieces, supply swapping highly encouraged. You will have time to plan and craft, with most of the two and half hours spent constructing your chain. Sarah D from Detroit Loch City will demonstrate how to create eye pin loops and link beads, how to crimp your chain shut so it stays strung safely, and several easy-to-do beading techniques to make your chains stand out. These look good on sunglasses as well.
This is a small-ish group workshop allowing for trial and error in good company, refreshments will be provided, register today!
